Part Time Sales + Light Maintenance Position

Union Rose is a local-centric women’s boutique. We are currently looking for a part-time sales/light maintenance employee to work 12+ hours a week.  We are fun, relaxed, and dedicated to the local maker economy, and always looking to help our customers find their new favorite outfit!

Sales/Creative Maintenance Position:

  •  Work in the store and cover shifts as needed.
  •  Provide excellent customer service ensuring a positive shopping experience and repeat business for both the shop and in-house clothing line. 
  • Keep the store and backroom clean and organized
  • Keep front entrance swept and free from cigarette butts, leaves, trash and debris 
  • Sweep, mop, dust, clean glass as needed. 
  • Water plants as needed
  • Other cleaning tasks as requested or needed
  • Straighten jewelry and hangars throughout the day and before leaving at night.
  • Restock sales floor as needed
  • Size all clothing, including the sale rack, at least once a day.
  • Turn Fulfill Online orders as they come in 
  • Communicate with other employees and owner effectively
  • Ability to use a computer to input inventory and other tasks  
  • Suggest outfits, pairings and accessories. Style our customers' whole wardrobe! 

The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience, not necessarily limited to retail. They will have a reasonably flexible schedule, and must have the ability to work on weekends and occasionally during evening hours for special events. They will be comfortable with cleaning and maintenance tasks. 

 We need someone who can jump in and maintain our daily sales goals right away. 

Someone who can help customers carry a conversation, and can relate to Portlander’s sustainable and local fashion needs and desires.

 We are invested in our local community both as a design community and our physical neighborhood- and the ideal candidate understands what that means, and wants to participate.

 Most importantly the job requires someone who is able to relate to many different people, (our customers are mostly women,) and help them feel beautiful as they are today, and create outfits, and attitudes, that spark excitement for our wonderful clients. 

Benefits include: Pay - $16.75/hour to start, paid sick time after 90 days, regular weekly schedule, employee discount, fun and creative work environment.
