Inspired by the Moirai, the Greek personification of Fate, three women that control life and destiny through the spinning, measuring, and cutting of the thread of life. As I was carving and making adjustments to this I also began to see it as a representation of generational links, the transfer of stories, and the way our lives may influence the future. A modern take on mourning jewelry, or an amulet to connect your past, present, and future.
Cast in solid bronze with gold fill lever back ear wires or solid silver with sterling lever back ear wires.
3 inches long from the top of the ear wire. Because these are solid metal, they are mid-weight earring at 11.75 grams (less than half an ounce or about the weight of five gummy bears.)
